Chef's Advice
Perfect to have in the fridge to add instant flavor to cold cuts, sandwiches, and salads. Don't throw away the liquid: use 1-2 tablespoons to dress a mixed salad instead of vinegar: add extra virgin olive oil, a pinch of mustard and pepper, and you'll have a vinaigrette with an extra kick. Alternatively, chop the vegetable mix with a knife and use it as a topping on roast beef, burgers or seared tuna.
How is Umami black garlic produced?
UMAMI Italian black garlic is produced through a thermal maturation process, without the addition of preservatives or chemical additives. The process is completely natural and takes place in a temperature and humidity-controlled environment for about 1 month at temperatures between 50°C and 80°C. This production technique significantly enhances the natural properties of garlic, changing its color, flavor, and texture.
