Patrick Font's fruit nectars are nature's first fruits and are delicious juices made from "fibrous" fruit, i.e. characterized by a compact and stringy pulp. Artisanal products where the raw material, selected and purchased only at the point of ideal ripeness, is enhanced without altering the distinctive characteristics of each fruit.
They always follow the seasonality and the rules of traditional agriculture which dictates the times and moments of harvesting: the sustainability of the terroir where the fruits grow, without the invasive intervention of human beings, is one of the cardinal principles of the company.
Patrick Font, the owner of the winery, establishes with farmers a partnership which goes beyond the mere supply of raw material: he collaborates with farmers, listens to their needs and invests in their activities, "renting" the trees - the best ones, the most exposed to the sun or the ones which produce the most fruits - which will exclusively donate the fruits later used for the production of juices.
Once the raw material has been purchased, it is subjected to strict quality control and then washed, sanitized and is immediately ready for production: the nectars are made from very fibrous fruit which is cold pressed and the pulp obtained then balanced with water and lemon juice in order to obtain a fluid and balanced nectar.
Patrick Font was born in 1960 to a family of farmers near Lyon, precisely in the hills overlooking the city, an exceptional area for growing vegetables and fruit thanks to their strategic location always exposed to the sun. After his university studies in Paris, the call to the land was so strong that in 1986 he returned to take care of the family business and in 1993 he decided to launch himself exclusively in the production of fruit juices and nectars in St Romain en Jarez.
His knowledge of the raw material and his link with the farmers of the Alverna-Rodano-Alps, allow him to select the best fruits and vegetables, only at the height of their maturity. In the early 2000s, he explored new flavors and fruits, such as wild Mango from Cameroon. In 2009, his son Romain joined the company, for the commercial side, and his daughter Marine for logistics: the process of international expansion was started, which will lead Font to consolidate in France and abroad and to win in 2018, the award as Best Artisan Company of France.
