Petrilli is an Italian company specializing in the production of artisanal pasta and organic canned tomatoes that are 100% Italian. The very high quality of the products has made the company famous all over the world thanks to the craftsmanship with which the preserves are made, to always achieve maximum customer satisfaction.
The sustainable commitment
For Petrilli, the connection to the land is very strong: they have been farming with organic techniques since 1988 in a very old location, Motta della Regina, in Apulia. The farm has reclaimed native trees, renounced high yields per hectare and the use of chemicals in such a way as to develop an environmentally sustainable production system, in which they take advantage of the soilʼs natural fertility and foster the environmentʼs biodiversity.
Local production
In addition to tomatoes and grapes Petrilli produces durum wheat, which is also organic. The entire production complies with world food standards guidelines and allows the company to obtain organic certifications in the countries to which it exports. Interest in the environment is put first: they use only energy produced by hydroelectric power plants in the Dolomites and no chemicals are added. The first production was of tomatoes, which is still done 100% manually from harvesting to bottling.
