A commitment to the highest quality leads the Spanish company Agromar to choose raw materials exclusively from the Spanish coast, respecting the product, its nature and maintaining a traditional artisanal production process that has lasted for decades. The factory, at the foot of the Bay of Biscay and 100 meters from the fish market in Gijón, allows the best excellence to be acquired and selected.
The History
The history of the company dates back to 1948, when Armando Barrio Mata, from Gijón, had the original idea of packaging sea urchin eggs, at that time very abundant among the rocks and beaches of Asturias. Sea urchins soon became very popular, a singular product that did not take long to become known. Finally, in 1968, Armando finally laid down the CONSERVAS AGROMAR brand, known today as a young and innovative company. Agromar products are gourmet excellences, now found in the most select fine restaurants.
Sea urchins
A genuine symbol and seal of quality of Agromar, sea urchin caviar is prepared from the eggs of the sea urchin, collected from the reefs, rocks and seabed of the Cantabrian Coast. Sea urchins are a popular product in fine dining and require careful and careful selection. The eggs are extracted manually, with extreme care and packaged as they are found in the shell. Their completely artisanal processing allows you to enjoy a sea breeze as wild, pure and impervious as the Spanish coasts are.
