Chef's Advice

The Verace clam is extremely versatile in the kitchen and can be enjoyed in many ways: for classic spaghetti alle vongole, steamed to add to soups, in rice dishes, and in any other traditional seafood recipe.

Their delicate flavor and soft texture make them a perfect choice to elevate fish-based dishes with a consistently spectacular taste.

How to store Verace clams?

It’s best to respect the cold chain as much as possible and avoid keeping them at room temperature for too long. Refrigerate the clams as soon as they arrive. It’s advisable to keep them in the mesh bag in which they are packaged, as it keeps them tightly together and prevents them from opening, helping them last longer in the coldest part of the fridge. As an extra measure, you can wrap them in a damp cloth.

To clean the clams, simply rinse them well under running water in a colander and gently rub them. Discard any broken clams.
