Extra-Large Verace Clam
The Verace clam is known for the tenderness of its meat and its sweet, briny flavor. Its shell is thick and hard, fairly symmetrical, and features more pronounced radial and concentric lines compared to other varieties.
Being farmed in open sea guarantees a truly genuine taste. Their unique flavor makes these clams a highly appreciated product in haute cuisine, thanks to their exceptional quality and origin.
Chef's Advice
The Verace clam is extremely versatile in the kitchen and can be enjoyed in many ways: in classic spaghetti alle vongole, steamed and added to soups, in rice dishes, or in any other traditional seafood recipe.
Their delicate flavor and tender texture make them a perfect choice to enhance seafood dishes with consistently spectacular results.
We recommend 1 kg for 3–4 people.
How to store Verace clams?
It is essential to maintain the cold chain and avoid leaving them at room temperature for too long. Refrigerate the clams as soon as they arrive. It is advisable to store them in the same mesh bag in which they are packaged, as it keeps them tightly together and prevents them from opening, helping them last longer in the coldest part of the fridge. As an additional measure, you can wrap them in a well-sealed damp cloth.
To clean the clams, simply rinse them thoroughly under running water in a colander and gently scrub them. Discard any broken clams.
