Mullet roe, also known as dried mullet bottarga, takes its name from the fish it comes from. A 100% natural, artisanal product of the highest quality.

Mullet bottarga has an intense, salty flavor. Its taste is distinctive and unique, with a pronounced briny note. It also offers a delicate hint of seafood and a distinctive aroma that makes it a prized ingredient in the kitchen.

Chef’s tip

This is an extraordinary delicacy, a must-have in Mediterranean-style appetizers. It is best enjoyed sliced into very thin strips, sometimes marinated in a few drops of extra virgin olive oil, or simply grated to enhance pasta dishes, pizzas, or roasted fish. We recommend grating the ends of the bottarga to create a “mullet salt” and finish your dishes with flavor.
