Alpin Herbs is specialized in herbs and edible flowers produced in the alps of South Tyrol. A passion for rediscovering new and old flavors has led Alpin Herbs to have an unparalleled assortment. It all began with the marketing of the seedlings to the most renowned chefs of the Italian haute cuisine, and then bringing flowers and herbs into everyday recipes.
The origins and the attention to detail
Thomas Spornberger is the mastermind behind the recovery of forgotten local herbs by selecting ancient and wild species in the Alps. Thomas' mother carefully and passionately supervises the biodynamically and sustainably grown greenhouses. The plants are watered in the morning and harvested strictly by hand every day, and the products are packaged in a very short time, always meeting high quality standards, but above all zero waste and maximum respect for the plant and its rhythms of growth and rest.
Gourmet cooking with herbs and flowers
The tradition of embellishing and complementing dishes with flowers and herbs is synonymous with refinement, an elegant detail. In the wide selection of flowers and herbs there are no hybrids, only herbs, watercresses and edible flowers that grow wild in nature. Their use depends on the scent they give off, their color and shape. An excellent ally in the kitchen, from decorating first courses, to pairing with main courses of meat, to becoming protagonists in desserts or liqueurs.
