Sea Lettuce

The Sea Lettuce has a fresh molluscs flavor with an intense sea aroma. The colour is bright green and the texture of the sea lettuce is flexible if fresh, but crunchy when toasted.

It is rich in fibers and proteins, a great source of minerals and iron. The sea lettuce is delicous in salads, stews, broths and to season sauces.

The Company
Porto-Muiños is a family business formed by husband and wife, Antonio Muíños and Rosa Mirás. In 1998, they began processing seaweed and selling it in dry or canned form. Today their products can be found in powdered, salted and fresh form, the latter in particular are having great success. Antonio and Rosa have built the success of their company on the study and dissemination of the organoleptic characteristics of seaweed.
