Almondeli has been growing Mediterranean almonds for three generations, still following traditional methods. A small family-run company that is committed with care, dedication and passion to sustainable agriculture to obtain only the best quality almonds.
Spanish almonds
The land owned by Almondeli covers more than 200 hectares in the Hellin area planted with beautiful almond trees, among the typologies grown are Marcona and Valencia. Trees of the Marcona variety grow only along the Mediterranean coast of Spain, in poor, arid soil. Harvesting is done by hand and in the summer. The almond tree can also reach heights of about ten meters with white or slightly pink five-petaled flowers, and its productivity increases with age until it peaks around eighteen years of age.
The perfect appetizer
Almondeli almonds are renowned for their delicately buttery flavor with a slight crunchiness, but still soft and delicious. Valencia Almonds are flavored with herbs such as rosemary, thyme, oregano, and savory. Deep-fried and lightly salted, almonds are considered the "Queens of the Spanish Aperitif," perfect for a gourmet snack: great on their own or paired with a good board of Iberian cheeses and cured meats.
