Spanish company Pablo Garrigós Ibáñez has taken nougat and gourmet sweets to countries on five continents. The quality of the products, totally made according to traditional techniques, has allowed Garrigós to feature in the displays of the best specialized food stores.
The artisanal production
Nougats are made according to the traditional method. Each ingredient is carefully selected, such as Marcona almond from the Mediterranean shore or orange honey and wild rosemary honey, harvested in the mountains from the east coast of Spain. The care and attention to detail is also seen in an unbeatable presentation in wooden boxes, which gives the artisanal nougat an exclusive and unique character.
Spanish nougats
Jijona and Alicante nougats are covered by the Protected Geographical Indication, which guarantees excellence in the production process carried out entirely in Jijona, the birthplace of nougat. Alicante nougat has a classic texture, so it is crisp and crumbly, making the most of the quality of the Marcona almond. Jijona nougat is made from a mixture of chopped roasted almonds with egg white and honey, which is why it differs from other traditional nougats in its softer, almost creamy texture.
